In your Social Media “arsenal”, it is  important to have a Facebook Fan page for your business. CNBC recently took a poll that said  47% of shoppers use Facebook or Twitter in some way to make a shopping decisions. So you better have a page for your business.

One very important Facebook application that allows a Fan Page to be customized is a Static FBML box. When you create a Static FBML box on your Facebook page, you can simply copy and paste  HTML code into the Static FBML box. If you do not know how to create HTML code, you can create it in a blog post on your WordPress blog.  Simply click on the HTML tab where you created the  blog post, this will create code that can be copied and pasted into the Static FBML Box.

I have used the Static FBML boxes to create links to newletter sign-ups, twitter and websites. The Static FBML box is a good way to create as many links as possible on your Facebook Page to allow your fans to “opt-in” to your site.

If you are in need of help to create a Facebook Fan Page, please see my Social Media Services in the navigation bar.
