Search Engine Optimization, SEO for short, is a way to set up your website so that search engines can index the information on your website and list your website on the search engine. For instance, in simple terms, every time you type in a word into the Google search box, Google goes out and looks for websites that contain that word.
There are several ways to optimize a website, which I will not go into here. Some are very technical and some are as simple as networking with other websites within your niche. One important way to optimize your website is to add a WordPress.org blog to your website. The blog should be placed in a sub-folder of your domain. Often times I have seen mom started businesses use a Google Blogger blog platform linked to their websites. Avoid this, a WordPress.org blog platform will serve your website much better.

Could you please clarify how to create a Wordpress blog in a sub-folder of your domain?

For example, I am building a blog right now , their main website is hosted with Go daddy. With in Go Daddy, there is the ability to add a wordpress.org blog onto the hosting
package, by adding the blog, a file is created for the blog and resulting in a url as follows, http://www.yoursite.com/blog
